Summer's Finally Here

Oh how I've neglected this poor blog.  The last few months of school were very busy, but summer break is finally here!!!  Woo hoo!!!  Hopefully that will give me some time to work on some new projects for Etsy and to blog a little more.  Here are a few things I created over the past few months.

 A friend that I work with was having a bridal shower for her sister-in-law.  I created the invitations and place cards for her.

She was also creating a file of recipes for her, so I created the recipe cards for each person to fill out.

I've also created some new Mousekeeping Envelopes.  I love how they turned out!  I'm obsessed with my new Mickey Cricut Cartridge!

Bloglovin'

When I started on this blogging adventure, I came across a great site called "Bloglovin'" and things haven't been the same since!  If you love to follow (or stalk) blogs like I do, here is a great way to keep track of the blogs you love all in one place. 

All you need to do is type in the name of the blog or website address in the search box at the top and it finds the blog for you.  Click follow and you are good to go!  You can get an email update daily so you know which blogs have posted or you can get one each time a blog updates.  When looking through your feed, just click on the picture and it will take you straight to that blog post for you to read.

If you have a blog of your own, you can add a bloglovin' button on the side so it makes it easier for people to follow you.  So, if this is something you want to try, please click on my button.

Mousekeeping Envelopes

This summer a customer contacted me through Etsy and asked me to create Mousekeeping Envelopes.  Since I haven't been to Disney since I was kid, I wasn't sure what exactly she was asking me to create.  So I did some research and learned that these cute envelopes are left with a tip for the "mousekeeping" staff that cleans your room each day.  What a fun idea!   The envelopes I found online were printable envelopes - one dimensional.  My designs are layered with premium cardstock and ribbons.   I'm very excited about the many different designs I have created since that first order.  Here are some samples of these creative envelopes!

And The Oscar Goes To . . .

And the Oscar goes to . . . 

Getting ready for our upcoming oscar party with these fun invites!  We've been preparing by watching some of the nominated movies and I still can't decide which one is the best!

BAck of the invite includes all the details for this exciting party.  I included some shiny gold stars at the top and bottom to add some sparkle to these movie ticket inspired invites.  Can't wait to watch the Oscars!  Who are you hoping wins???

Party Time

A friend asked me to create a 21^st birthday card for her daughter.  First, I can’t believe that her daughter is 21!! It seemed like yesterday that she was in grade school. 

So her daughter's sorority colors are dark red and dark green, which I used for the background colors.  And what says "21" better than a shiny silver martini glass?

Inside the card I used the same colors, along with some sparkly gold stars.  I hope she enjoys this one of a kind card!

Welcome to my blog!

Blogging is a new adventure for me!  I wanted to have another way to share my creations and thought this would be the perfect way to do that! I have been scrapbooking and creating cards for the past 12 years.  I also have a store on Etsy called A Little Red Bird Designs.  

One of my most popular creations is a Mickey Mouse invitation.  I have created these for birthday parties, but I have also made them into note cards.

From this invite, I also created a Minnie Mouse invitation!  I just love the bow!

I also created some gift bags and tags to go along with the Mickey and Minnie theme.  Check them out on my Etsy Shop.
